"F" SERIES COMPRESSOR PUMPS
The WESTAIR “F” series pumps are engineered to the highest standards possible. Below are some of the design features we
have incorporated into the construction of our precision engineered pumps.
Crankcase; 100% cast iron crankcase for increased rigidity, all gasket surfaces machined for better sealing.
Crankshaft; Rigid crankshaft design supported by two heavy duty roller bearings with counterweight allows smoother
performance.
Connecting Rods; Lightweight aluminium design for lower mass weight, precision ground for long life.
Cylinders; Solid 100% cast iron cylinders precision honed for better sealing with radial fins for better 360 degree
heat dissipation.
Pistons; Precision balanced aluminium pistons, designed for long life.
Rings; Three piston ring design, one oil control and two compression rings, precision made and matched to our
honed cylinders to minimise oil carryover.
Flywheel; Solid fully balanced cast aluminium flywheels, includes built in radial fan blades to keep compression
temperatures down.
Lubrication; All critical internal parts are feed by a slash feed oil system, simple and reliable; oil level can be easily
inspected with our integral oil sight glass.
Inlet Filters; Metal air filter casings with replaceable paper elements.
Valves; A simple reed valve design for increased efficiency; precision ground valve plates for perfect sealing.
Head; Cast aluminium head for exceptional heat dissipation, includes centre valve plate retaining bolt to ensure perfect head gasket seal.
